Bukit Banang’s golf course is the ideal recreational getaway for ardent golfers. Its 165-acre site amidst lush tropical greenery offers a resplendent, scenic view. Designed by Micheal Coates and Associates, the Par 72 course is suitable for golfers of different skills, offering them challenging yet not imposing golf experiences.
The fairways are turfed with Bermuda Greenless Park and the greens with Tifdwarf to create a true putting surface. This course was designed to blend well with nature and the green freshness of the undulating fairways.
The front nine, called the Valley Nine, plays into the hilly undulating terrains of Bukit Banang with scenic, winding fairways and sloping greens. Scoring a par on the second hole par 5 is a satisfying feat because you have to conquer a large pond dissecting the fairway in your second shot. The eighth hole par 3 is memorable to many golfers for its sheer distance at 215 meters with the sloping green that is shielded by two strategically placed bunkers.
The returning nine is referred to as the Lake Nine because of the presence of four lakes linked by a stream that cuts across most of the fairways. To handle the more demanding nature of Lake Nine, one has to possess accuracy and good course management.
