What do I need to know about riding session?

Turn up for your lesson early enough to report to the office and then to head to the riding school. Usually 10 minutes before the lesson is good practice. For your initial session you are advised to turn up earlier in order to fill in the required paperwork. All applicants must complete and sign the Application and Waiver Forms and submit to the Riding Office for processing. All applicants are advised to read the Rules & Regulations carefully. Applicants must acknowledge that they have read and understand the rules & regulations and agree to comply with and be bounded by the rules & regulations of the Club.

What do I need to know about waiver/ liability?

Horse riding is categorized as a high-risk sport. We expect all riders to take up insurance. All participants must complete Riding Application Forms and Waiver Forms and all young riders must have respective forms signed by their parent / guardian before commencement of lessons. The rider insurance is very reasonably priced at RM30 per annum for adults and RM15 per child. Details of this insurance are available at the equestrian reception desk.

Which lesson is ideal for me?

Ridden before? Want to join a group lesson?
We will ask new riders with prior experience to take an assessment ride to enable the instructor to asses their standard. Once they have done the assessment the instructor will decide which group lesson they can join.

Private lessons

Private lessons require no assessments. These are lessons on a ‘one on one’ basis with an instructor. These can be booked through reception.

Trail riding

Trail rides require assessments; we would prefer all riders to book a separate assessment prior to booking a trail ride. We want to ensure the safety of all riders and need to make sure you are mounted on the right type of horse for your abilities.

Beginner riders

Beginner riders have an option to start with beginner packages which consists of 10 lessons. However this is strictly non transferable and non refundable. An alternative to paying up front is to initially try a trial session one to one (private lesson) with the instructor for 30 minutes, to ensure that riding is for you before you sign up for a package.

What is the cancellation procedure?

Cancellations must be made at least 24hours before their scheduled lesson, if this doesn’t happen they will be classed as not turning up, and full charges are made for the lesson. (Generally speaking as long as you cancel the day before the lesson, then we have time to call other riders to fill the gap and no charges will be made.)
